Have a citrus blast this summer with a Tequila Mosambi Cocktail

As we bid adieu to summer, it’s time to enjoy the last of the summer fruits with this peppy tropical drink that is perfect for keeping us hydrated on a hot summer afternoon.

We have experimented with fresh flavours of the fragrant Meyer Lemon, the sweet juicy Clementine, as well as the aromatic Bergamot this summer. So, is it any wonder that next on our list would be Sweet Limes?

Sweet Limes belong to the genus Citrus limettioides and have a unique flavour. They are tangy, mildly sweet, and juicy. Sweet limes have the same essence as lime but without the pucker-inducing qualities. Since they have a low acidic content, their flavour is slightly flatter and mellower than other citrus fruits. The origins of the Sweet Lime are unknown; however, they are grown in hot climatic conditions and are said to be a hybrid between a Mexican lime and a sweet lemon.

Sweet Lime or Mosambi as it is known in India is one of the favourite Juices in the hot scorching Indian summer heat. In fact, it is one of the most hydrating, nutritious, and refreshing juices amongst a plethora of fruit juices.

The Sweet Lime is a versatile citrus fruit that is packed with vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that have tremendous health benefits. They are used for a number of ailments like sore throat, nausea, indigestion, and fever, etc.

The Pineapple goes hand in hand with the sharp bite of tequila. The black salt, pepper, and the chaat masala on the rim elevate the flavour of the two fruit juices.
